Artificial Evolution is a game designed by students at the Savannah College of Art and Design for the Applied Game Design class taught by Professor Brenda Brathwaite.
Five students worked on the project over the course of 10 weeks using a Traditional Design method.
Within this 10 week period, the students created a full design document, concept art, models, and this website. The game is designed for use on the Xbox 360 system, but can be ported over to either the Playstation3, Playstation2 or PC. The design method included adherence to the MDA style of design, with influences from Organic and Agile Design methods.
All four projects created by the teams in Applied Game Design where then put into a competition against each other. Projects were judged based off of various factors by members of the game industry. Artificial Evolution was voted by these judges as the best design.
